Chencharu Central Residences Location, MRT and Schools
Chencharu Central Residences is at Chencharu Close, in the new Chencharu estate west of Khatib MRT. It's the commercial and transport hub of the new estate.

MRT and roads
- Khatib MRT (NS14), North-South Line: about 500 m in a straight line. The developer says about a 6-minute walk, sheltered once the development is completed.
- To the city: Orchard is 8 stops from Khatib without changing trains.
- Bus: an air-conditioned bus interchange inside the development, plus Chencharu Link, a 400 m bus-only road planned by HDB.
- By car: Sembawang Road and Lentor Avenue lead to the SLE, with links on to the CTE and TPE. The North-South Corridor will open in phases from 2029, after LTA's two-year delay announced in September 2026.

Food, shopping and daily needs
- Inside the development: a mall of about 12,600 sqm with a supermarket, shops and F&B, and a 40-stall hawker centre.
- Nearby: Yishun Sport Centre, Khatib Polyclinic and Naval Base Secondary School.
- Short ride: Northpoint City and Wisteria Mall (both about 1.4 to 2 km), Khoo Teck Puat Hospital (about 1.4 to 1.8 km).
- Nature: Lower Seletar Reservoir Park (about 0.7 to 0.9 km), the Khatib neighbourhood park next door, and a new park around the 1910s plantation bungalow at 50 Bah Soon Pah Road.
The neighbourhood
Chencharu is a 70-hectare estate bounded by Yishun Avenue 1, Yishun Avenue 2 and Sembawang Road. HDB plans about 10,000 homes there by 2040, at least 80% of them public flats (Business Times: HDB unveils Chencharu masterplan (12 Jun 2024)). Around it is mature Yishun, where many families already live and many flats are reaching the age where owners think about upgrading. Nearby private condos include North Park Residences above Northpoint City, The Estuary, The Watergardens at Canberra and The Commodore, and the new Canberra Crescent Residences.
